As with each book that I've read in Strawberry Sands, "There I Find Hope" draws the reader in from the very beginning。 This time the story starts on a rather somber note where Sunday, a single mother, is at her young son's funeral, feeling overwhelmingly sad, hopeless, guilty, and so much more。 Fortunately, the story doesn't stay there very long but is the basis of a relationship between Sunday and a mysterious pen pal who sends her anonymous letters to encourage and cheer her up。 Noah, a friend As with each book that I've read in Strawberry Sands, "There I Find Hope" draws the reader in from the very beginning。 This time the story starts on a rather somber note where Sunday, a single mother, is at her young son's funeral, feeling overwhelmingly sad, hopeless, guilty, and so much more。 Fortunately, the story doesn't stay there very long but is the basis of a relationship between Sunday and a mysterious pen pal who sends her anonymous letters to encourage and cheer her up。 Noah, a friend from high school is back in Strawberry Sands。 He's always had a crush on Sunday and feels drawn to this hurting mother whose lost her only child, so he begins the pen pal relationship with her。 He has many hopes and dreams and wonders if God will answer any of them。 Can his life in nearby Chicago include Sunday? All he can do is hope, because there's no point to life without hope。 Can Sunday create a new normal for herself without her son? When the anonymous pen pal's identity is revealed, how will Sunday react? A beautiful story and heartwarming clean romance with a HEA。 I highly recommend "There I Find Hope" as well as the entire Strawberry Sands series! And I also learned several interesting facts about horses! I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have given my honest opinion in this review。 。。。more

I didn't read the synopsis of Jessie's book as every book written by her has been brilliant, so what a shocker the start of the book was to me, emotional and sad, tears were flowing。 This was a really great story filled with heartache, compassion, romance and joy。 I absolutely love the Christian content。 I didn't read the synopsis of Jessie's book as every book written by her has been brilliant, so what a shocker the start of the book was to me, emotional and sad, tears were flowing。 This was a really great story filled with heartache, compassion, romance and joy。 I absolutely love the Christian content。 。。。more

Really Great Christian Series This book is so good。  It's one of those books you can't put down but don't want to end。 Noah had a crush on Sunday since highschool。 He gets a second chance but she is going through a very difficult time。 He helps her rely on God to get her through。 I love how this author uses God in the lives of her characters。 A really great read。 Really Great Christian Series This book is so good。  It's one of those books you can't put down but don't want to end。 Noah had a crush on Sunday since highschool。 He gets a second chance but she is going through a very difficult time。 He helps her rely on God to get her through。 I love how this author uses God in the lives of her characters。 A really great read。 。。。more

Wow, Sunday and Noah。。。 Wow。 I am so impressed at Sunday's grief。 And at Noah watching that and wanting to do something to ease that grief。 I have a friend who's grieving the loss of a child。 It's hard - hard to watch, hard to know what to do to assist her through it。 I love that what Noah did really assisted Sunday。 I love how they come together and what Sunday did to move through her grief herself。 Such a great book! Sunday's worse nightmare - her son drowned in front of her and there was nothing she could do。 Her grief was overwhelming and the lack of support - blame really - from her ex-husband made things so much worse。 Noah wants to help but doesn't know how and writes to her and this correspondence plus support from her family pulls her (if reluctantly) back into the real world。 I really appreciated how sensitively the loss of a child was treated and that is wasn't a quick recovery。 Despite the sad them Sunday's worse nightmare - her son drowned in front of her and there was nothing she could do。 Her grief was overwhelming and the lack of support - blame really - from her ex-husband made things so much worse。 Noah wants to help but doesn't know how and writes to her and this correspondence plus support from her family pulls her (if reluctantly) back into the real world。 I really appreciated how sensitively the loss of a child was treated and that is wasn't a quick recovery。 Despite the sad theme, this was still a good read and we are reminded that even when the worst happens, God is still there。 I received an ARC but this review is my own。 。。。more

I had a hard time reading this book。 It opens with Sunday at the funeral for her 7year old son Noah。 He drowned。 This was a very emotional book and a difficult read for anyone and especially for those who have experienced the loss of a child。 My son was an adult when he passed but it’s a loss that while you do heal It’s always with you。 The author does a great job of handling this subject and brings Sunday through her grief in a very believable way。

There I Find Hope takes us back to Strawberry Sands and the author deals with a very sensitive subject in the loss of an only child of a single mom。 Sunday had divorced her cheating husband and came back to live in Strawberry Sands to raise Blake with her family surrounding her。 The story tells of her coping with the loss, and an old school friend。 Noah coming back to pay his respects at the funeral but turned out he had to pull Sunday off her mean mouth cheating husband。 Noah moved to Strawberr There I Find Hope takes us back to Strawberry Sands and the author deals with a very sensitive subject in the loss of an only child of a single mom。 Sunday had divorced her cheating husband and came back to live in Strawberry Sands to raise Blake with her family surrounding her。 The story tells of her coping with the loss, and an old school friend。 Noah coming back to pay his respects at the funeral but turned out he had to pull Sunday off her mean mouth cheating husband。 Noah moved to Strawberry Sands as that is where he was raised and was building a hotel to help bring tourist to Strawberry Sands with his partner Franklin that also grew up there。 Noah had a big crush on Sunday in high school but she fell for Glenn when he came to their school to discuss job options。 She married him and was living to regret it, except for Blake。Noah starts sending Sunday letters to tell her about how proud he was of her turning to the Lord for her new existence。 But he signs it Business Boy。 She returns his letters and signs them Lake Lover。 As Noah and Sunday start to spend some time together, Noah feels he has always wanted no one but Sunday。 He is hoping this time he can become more than friends with her。 And when the town's dog sends Sunday into Matt's pasture and finds a mare stuck in labor and then Noah comes as the dog stops him too they stay around and help Matt deliver the foal。 When they find out that the mare passed, Sunday and Noah starts feeding her and spending time together。 This goal heals Sunday more than anything else could。 Being with Noah becomes so satisfying that she starts to think of the future once again。 But can she feel more than friends to Noah as Business Boy says all the right things and she asks him to meet her at the diner? 。。。more

A beautiful story! Honestly, I was afraid to read it after discovering the blurb but the author broaches this sensitive topic (loss of a child and guilt) with sensitiveness and tact。 I cried but good tears, healing tears! It still is a romance but a profound one and the book is full of great thoughts about loss, guilt and forgiveness。

Such a beautiful but very emotional story。 Sunday has lost her only child and feels like her life is over。 Noah has already loved her and tries to help by writing her an anonymous letter。 This story is filled with deep insight into the process of grief and belief and reliance upon God。 I love how Jessie Gussman describes in depth the process of emotional healing with Sunday and the importance of Noah’s friendship。I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review。

'There I Find Hope' was sad。 It began with such melancholy。 The heartfelt plot was filled with sadness, piety, courage, hope, some mysterious anonymous correspondence, rekindling a friendship, moving on, and love。 I especially liked the chapters that were written as letters; they seemed like a unique way to present a storyline。 Sunday and Noah, the protagonists, were so sweet together。 They emanated chemistry。 Overall, I loved the full-hearted narrative。I received a copy for free and am voluntar 'There I Find Hope' was sad。 It began with such melancholy。 The heartfelt plot was filled with sadness, piety, courage, hope, some mysterious anonymous correspondence, rekindling a friendship, moving on, and love。 I especially liked the chapters that were written as letters; they seemed like a unique way to present a storyline。 Sunday and Noah, the protagonists, were so sweet together。 They emanated chemistry。 Overall, I loved the full-hearted narrative。I received a copy for free and am voluntarily giving my honest review。 。。。more

This is Book Six in the Strawberry Sands series。 I think this story is the deepest and most touching story so far。 The author writes a very real, very honest story about a mother's acceptance of the death if her child, and how she slowly begins to feel some healing。 She is helped by anonymous letters from an man who feels her pain and helps her to begin to live again。 This book is a standalone and HEA, despite its difficult topic。 I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion。 This is Book Six in the Strawberry Sands series。 I think this story is the deepest and most touching story so far。 The author writes a very real, very honest story about a mother's acceptance of the death if her child, and how she slowly begins to feel some healing。 She is helped by anonymous letters from an man who feels her pain and helps her to begin to live again。 This book is a standalone and HEA, despite its difficult topic。 I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion。 。。。more
